To Go On

how can i covet the day
when it doesn't belong to me?

i thirst for you,
more so than the day,
am i wrong to do so?

my sun rises,
but only through your eyes
and i see your smile
worn by the moon
on cold endless nights,
but i thirst for you
more so than the day.

am i wrong?

These feelings are ineffable. So how did you manage to describe them so well?

Unless you are speaking about God, then I know you are showing your love of nature.

Of course the day belongs to you! That's the whole point of being presented with the gift of WAKING UP! You can do the math from there. ;-) Real love shouldn't never hurt like this...Excellent thoughts in this writing.
