To Fold a Season
O pen up soft eyes,
to winter's frigid white tears
and the angel's veil.
R elief dances wild
in each clean, rebellious flake,
blessing the night crease.
I vory stars kiss
heaven's violet canvas,
a glistening sheet.
G litter: a new life
in which the paper crane flies,
bathed in vernal dew.
A zaleas now bloom
alongside Her majesty,
pressed gently at side.
M orning star does smile,
its tender, gold, shining edge:
sprouting merriment.
I t is the rhythm,
when winter bends into spring;
to fold a season...
