To Etch the Last Look

So be it upon this carved embrace this hollow bone of density which shades the sorrow on your face eyelashed in intensity And for one moment, you'll remark forever bleeding off your tongue that we were meaning to embark but found we weren't quite that young And so you'll laugh and catch a tear on cheek bones drawn to vaguely smile and while you laugh, I'll vaguely fear that I won't see you for a while And so be it, this carved embrace to kiss the cheek and set you free Already hoping to erase this future that was meant to be.
