Thank you for taking the time to show me how to write. Thank you for the sleepless nights you spent marking my work, Thank you for the time you took off holidays to give me extra attention when I needed it, I am who I am because of you Your hands have molded governors and presidents rock stars and writers. Thank you for showing me how to hold a pen So that I can write this.

This poem assumes its rightful place in the middle of my heart, Kudzai. I am and have been a teacher/educator for the last 30 years, and these words are music to my hears. To hear such appreciation from any student is a joy---far better than a teacher's meager salary---even if you were never or will never be in my classroom. Thank you so much for posting this!! :) gw

Thank you so much for your kind words Gershon. You have no idea how much respect and love I have for teachers and educators, they have molded me to who I am today and I consider that such a wonderful gift.
