To Dream

To emerge, blinking in the light, with star dust in my eyes . . .
to absorb in heart and mind the discoveries of millennia . . .
to walk the halls of ancients, both sacred and profane . . .
to run with the energy of suns coursing in my veins . . .
to love with the passion of poets and painters . . .
to build with hammer and claw the foundations of our future . . .
to teach the wisdom of the ages . . .
to sleep at rest with nature . . .
to dream a never ending
stygian and starless
dream.
