To Blighty and Back
Just got back from visit home. Was nice to get out of the desert for a little while.. unfortunately still have to get back to work at some point...
pennies saved for months
for reprieve from blistering heat
leaving sand behind
greeted by green grass,
cool rain and ale, palate cleansed
barefoot dance under stars
rolling hills, robins
morning songs and crawling pubs
Kodak memories
family and friends
from one coast to the other
sharing past again
tears and embraces
as time moves far too quickly
bursting through the clouds
