To Be There
Take me to a place where love learns no more,
Take me to a place where I have absorbed all there is to know about love and can truly soar,
Take me to a place where I become the light that pierces the night,
Take me to a place where love heals my hidden wounds.
I was told of a place where love encompasses everything and provides the answers,
Yet I am still not at that elevated height,
I was informed of a time when love will become a tranquil sea,
But I am still caught in my turbulence.
Take me out of the darkness that follows the dawn,
Take me out of the mystery that has merged with my being,
Take me out of the enigma that journeys with me,
Take me out of the strangeness that calls upon the uncanny.
My prayer is the silence of my devotion,
My quest is a journey into the depths of the unknown,
My heart cries out for the perpetuity of redemption,
My pursuit is to understand how my mother summons the elements and soars on their wings.
