To Be Replaced By Another

The exact moment 
of birth and death 
is amazing
the most amazing thing in life
like the flick of a switch
from nothingness to being 
from being to something else

A new bulb burns bright
dims over time and 
burns out 
never to light again
to be replaced by a new bulb

A new life burns bright
dims over time and 
burns out 
never to light again in this world
to be replaced by a new light
or does it

Things last longer now
give off more light and 
use less energy
but at the moment 
they burn out
the light is gone
into the world

There are different types of bulbs
Incandescent
Florescent
Tungsten


Different colors
sizes 
shapes and
energy levels

Each provides light in their own way
at some point
they will burn out
to be replaced by another

or do they

can you really replace any thing?
