Notes About The Poem
Occasionally, simple human interest stories can leave one wondering what it’s all about. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/10/04/joseph-dog-chained-4-years-ohio_n_4045922.html

To Be Known

To Be Known
          by Odin Roark

Longing to be known
Is not unlike emotions
Often fooling your security
That speedball your heart
That desperately hold on

Not unlike daydreams
That temporarily provide solace
While walking
Climbing
Flying

Not unlike hope
That never-ending relay
The teardrop perpetually in check
The opportunity just out of reach

But like facts finally accepted
Proving the sun always rises
The tide embraces its ebb
Time’s constant tick forever trusts its tock

Life provides love
Longing to be known
Truly known
If only to one
