To Be God For a Day

To be God for a day
Wow – what an honor it would be
Changing the course nature
By creating love and harmony

Cast miracles
Excluding all natural disasters in life
I’d heal chronic diseases
Diminish violence - by helping us think nice

Perhaps I’d start with religions
The true devil in disguise
I’d bring us all together
By ending all ancient cultish tribes

Humanity –
My word would be the scientific proof
I’d imbue a helping hand
So reciprocity wouldn’t have an agenda – it would be the golden truth

The pious – the self-righteous
I’ll forgive all them all just the same
They worshiped the Gods of their fathers
Creating most of the worlds pain

My son
I’d send him to the world to give good advice
He’d spread peace, love, and joy
Without paying a sacrificial price

Me?
No collections, statues, or churches with gold pews
I’d do my job
Then my job would be through

Oh what an honor
To be God for a day
Bringing all of humanity together
Now it’s a beautiful day
