On the pillow
Of the deserts contemplated,
On the lips and eyelids,
I’m looking for it,
Among the distant noises,
On the flying carpets,
In the learned plates,
I’m looking for it,
Among the humming of bees,
In the rooms of kings,
On the lavender of the eyes,
I’m looking for it,
On the forest moss,
The branches of the clouds,
On the blue laughter of comets,
I’m looking for it,
Sur l’oreiller
Des déserts contemplés,
Sur les lèvres et les paupières,
Je le cherche,
Parmi les bruits lointains,
Sur les tapis volants,
Dans les assiettes savantes,
Je le cherche,
Parmi les bourdonnements d’abeille,
Dans les chambres des rois,
Sur la lavande des yeux,
Je le cherche,
Sur la mousse des forêts,
Les branches des nuages,
Sur le rire bleu des comètes,
Je le cherche,
