James, This is a perfect poem. It captures the beauty of a butterflies life cycle. Your poem reminds me of a picture that I took last spring. The butterfly was still drying out after just emerging from the chrysalis. The following link should take you there. http://daneann.freehost10.com/Butterfly%20Gallery/Album1.htm Love, Dane

What imazing images you give us, from egg to adulthood! Our winged wonders are quite beautiful in Florida, where "butterfly bushes" are planted just to attract them. In N. Georgia there is a butterfly pavillion where they display the processes you described so beautifully in your poem, James. Ever a fan! Love, Carolyn

Beautiful,James. :) you know, I had an old momarch land on my shirt once, it clung to it like glue, and would not let go for anything (I gently tried to shake my shirt to unstick him) but...he died. he landed on me, at the end of his journey, and died. it was very spiritual for me and I'll always remember it. Espeically since butterflies are me spirit creature, being an aquarius. :) love, Kristin
