To Be Alive
TO BE ALIVE
There once was a man from Galilee, and
A woman needing water from a well
She seemed transparent as you and me
He filled her soul with spice of truth as well
We breathe one breath.
Oh for the love of seeing
Even the dark of night holds glory
Drab of day finds the clearing
Stars one by one tells a story
We are star dust.
The whole world waited for a Savior
Even the wind and waves would obey
One gift as gift was favor
Would you throw it all away?
Which way leads home?
We will come alive where freedom reigns
And emptiness is replaced by light weightiness
And truth is embraced like a long lost gem.
