To Be a Star!
Look at Me, I’m floating,
amongst a sea of stars.
Life is grand, I’m drinking,
with royalty in bars.
Watch me now, I’m flying,
beyond my hopes and dreams.
Life is bold, I’m soaring,
I’m one of THEM, it seems.
Don’t look now, I’m slipping,
through clouds, I’ve lost my way.
Life is dire, I’m sinking,
to bitter hearts dismay.
Don’t watch now, I’m crashing,
from lofty heights betrayed.
Life is lost, I’m mourning,
for light I once portrayed.
