To Be a Man of Reason
To be a Man of Reason
Thinking of Paris

To be man of reason
Is difficult at best
Our own beliefs get in the way
Think we're better than the rest
People are so various
In believing as they do
If violence not included
They have rights the same as you
Odd to force our ways on others
Those things that we believe
Then open eyes in wonder
When they fight what they receive
When terror rears its ugly head
We have the right to fight
If reasons point in part to us
Must work to make things right
Strange are the ways that we react
When our beings filled with fear
From things that we don't understand
That may not be what they appear
Address the violence wipe it out
Avoid retaliation overflow
Don't continue killing innocents
Only those who dealt the blow
