To All Judgmental Haters

(I think this is how Robert Lindley will reply, if at all...)

I wonder why you'd hate me,
Maybe because I'm kindly,
But you don't irritate me,
I will not judge you blindly...

You can't stop me from writing,
I won't stoop to distress you,
I forgive your backbiting,
And just say, "May God bless you!"

(Those who know Robert Lindley can vouch for his kindheartedness, friendliness and encouraging words to everyone.... And those who hate him, I can only say, "The loss is yours".)

I love this one, Jo! Especially because it involves Robert. He is a fine man and a pure soul. I also wrote a poem called Judgmental, a little different but our meanings are the same. Great write and congrats on your win...Charlie

Thank you my friend and congratulations on your win in the Haters contest. I think you know me well and I am sad at having read words expressing hatred and contempt for my poetry but understand they are only expressing their own weakness, insecurity and darkness. I bear them no hard feelings..

How he'd reply to whom? Who need I beat up, then forgive because, obviously someone 'knows not what they do.' The contest title did not spark my muse, such subjects are where I, or you, choose NOT to dwell, but, personal feelings obviously took your muse to hold a pen. I regret any ignorant hurt inflicted on anyone here and I am encouraged by any loving defense gifted to all by your truth-centered wisdom. Wow, I'll be wrapping my heart around this one for awhile. Hugs ... CayCay

This poem does sound like Robert. It is hard for me to imagine anyone having a problem with Robert. What's not to like? He is a gentleman and a scholar and a fine and gentle spirit who I am pleased to call friend. A lovely tribute for Robert Jo!

You wisely refuse to lower yourself to their level dearest little, sister and I applaud you for that! I know very well what you are talking about!

VERY well expressed, Jo. I have no idea what is going on from that contest page discussing Robert. What is not to love about dear Robert? I don't get it. Anyway, this is a winning poem!!

Well expressed. I am not aware that our friend is under attack. He is indeed a kind and thoughtful fellow and I have only found him to be warm and respectful.

I can just imagine Robert saying that Jo he is such a lovely gentleman. I can only think its jealousy of his wonderful poetry that anyone would stoop so low as to say anything bad about Robert:-( Good luck in the contest:-) hugs Jan x
