To a Very Special Lady
Above all, she’ll do her part
Far from the spotlight, from rounds of clap,
From sincere compliments and false flattery,
From haughty advice, and rancorous envy.
Above all, hers is 'the moon and stars',
A dream of brighter days to come
twinkling in the eyes of her kids,
Children she didn’t give birth to,
Yet,
They are her stars, and she is their moon,
Infusing hope into their trying lives.
May you forever fare well my young lady!
You shall always be like a heal-all, a magic potion,
A breath of fresh air in the midst of indifference,
A caring mother whose purity comforts the aching soul
And lightens the heavy load.
Blessed may your bountiful deeds be
Which,
Above all,
Shall engrave your touch on all hearts and minds.
