To a Lonely Soul, Sad of Eyes
A grey, bleak sky surrounds,
Leaves fall silently from branches.
A young boy sits on a park bench,
With nobody else around.
A cold breeze blows past,
The last straw of a lonely soul.
The first tear falls from his eye,
Followed by a waterfall of emotion.
Behind his skin, a life story.
One of pain and solitude.
Nobody cares, he thinks.
No, he locks it inside his heart.
Sad of eyes watching the darkness.
Watching, but never helping.
Perhaps they don't want to help,
Or does he deny his own misery.
