To a Fly

Buzz around me,
let the constant flutter teach me the beauty
of Nature's misinterpreted noise
& also
the value of silence,
as finally, you escape through a crack in the window.
I hardly noticed you, until you were gone
& now, i miss the sound
that for a moment
made me feel less alone.
Though an annoyance,
a fly never tries to offend.
In this, at least,
flies are better company then most people.
