To a Believer In Corporate Kindness

Companies lust after profit.
They do nothing - that is, squat -
if there's a chance of not
making something off it.

You see a soft heart beating.
Try being an executive
whose yields are down, and has to live
through a hostile stockholders' meeting.

Capitalism works. It really does.
That's because it's selfish, greedy -
ruthlessly exploits the needy.
It works, because it's us.
