T.L.C.
Angels built bridges to negate
the land between us; spanning
psychic rivers,
laying heartbeat highways
until all roads led to you.
Telegraph wires sang
sonnets in the air; birds
scattered 'lest such poetry
stun their flight
and cuff them to the earth.
I feel you everywhere,
in every breath and motion; sleep,
when it lays rest my brain, it is
your lips kiss out the lights.
It is your hands that
tease open the blinds at dawn
and waken me to it's glow.
Then, beyond the ragged sphere
of this world's failed repair,
I heal within your arms,
your tender loving care.
