Titles

There are many titles men have A Husband, Uncle, and Cousin There’s Dad, Grandpa, Brother, and Son The titles go on by the dozen. There’s Buddy, Pal, and Friend The list is quite extensive There’s Mister, Neighbor, and Confidant And a few that are rather offensive. But all these titles are meaningful In what they represent I could have mentioned several more But that isn’t my intent. Were they all bunched in a room One chair would be all you’d see Cause the fact of the matter is All of them put together - is Me. Yes, Me, Myself, and I Three more titles that I hold Yours truly, is another And Senior Citizen, now that I’m old. These are all my “Titles” I feel that I’m a winner So you can call me what you like, But don’t call me late for dinner!

Very witty, Ralph. I think it was in Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet that the line "Is not a rose by any other name still a rose?" was first used. Great poem! Love, Carolyn
