Tis Almost Here

This weekend The clocks fall back Winter is on the horizon Darker nights ~ no evening strolls Along a sunny summers prom Instead it’s dark at four o’clock With long dark evenings Summer’s gone… I find the lack of light disheartening I’d like to sleep till Spring has sprung For it’s my favourite time of year When all the bulbs begin to come But first the Winter ‘tis almost here… Written 26th October 2021 Contest A STRAND (1070) Sponsor Brian Strand FIRST PLACE

These forthcoming dark nights are so depressing Ann, get Christmas out the way and you notice a stretch in the evenings. Hope you're well. Tom

Yes I agree Tom the days seem so much shorter, so really not looking forward to those dark evenings... Several health issues at the moment, but hopefully things will improve. Hoping you and your family are keeping well. With kindest thoughts Ann xx

Agreed. Tonight we expect a terrible storm. Spring is always beautiful.
