Tired of Running
I've been here for many days now with too many bullet and stabbed wounds,
My eyes dilated with pain and fear,
They've been seriously looking for me.
From where I'm sitting,
I can see blood in their eyes.
It's only a matter of time,
They'll apprehend me,
The sirens, helicopters, tanks and satellites
Are on my trail,
Just in minutes, my musings took a sudden and arbitrary twist.
My soul is compressed into a single agony of prayer,
They'll annihilate me,
If I don't do now
What I've been doing all my life.
Running and hiding!
Seeking a legal aid is not an easy thing down here,
My mother was locally and internationally known as a human right activist,
But she's now on the run,
We are running like murderers.
Just because we signed in for the truth, freedom, equity, equality and justice.
