Can you share me some truth
No softly whispered lies
Spare me the excuses
That lounge behind your eyes

My foundation is dust
A heart molded of clay
Shaped by adversity
Fired by dismay

But otherwise, thank you for the kind words and the much too generous compliment. I don’t compose music, but I have a few friends that do. If one of them is inclined to put music to it, I will share.
