Tired

Iget tired
but I don't sleep
I get achy
but I don't sleep
my eyes, they feel so heavy
but I don't sleep
I take a sleep aid
but I don't sleep
I say my prayers
but I don't sleep
I fluff my pillows
but I don't sleep
I put on soothing music
but I don't sleep
I wonder
why don't I sleep?
did I insult
the sandman of old
cause I don't sleep
do aliens far off
in space
train their beams on me
so I won't sleep?
Is this the life
I'll have to keep?
All I want for Christmas
is to sleep.
oh beautiful, beautiful
sleep
bringer of dreams
where my dreams may come true
but I don't seep,
do you?
