Tired

Don’t blame me for all your defects
How could I compete with all your
Insecurities? With all of your self doubt?

How could I compete with all your distrust?
So is it really so hard for you to believe
That I gave up the fight.

That I was tired of waging a war
I could never win.
I grew tired of waging a war on
Myself, hurting myself trying to
Reach someone who was never there.
