Tipsy Tides

Drunk on the ocean.
That's what I am.
Swallowed by the shallow shores I lie...

Desperate cooling claws lure me into that tsunami.
Yet the singing sirens pull me into a different danger.

One of light, extravagance, and love...
An alerting realm of unforeseen outcomes.
Love...
One where the soft tune of joy could drown the pounding alarm of trecherous tides.

The tide pool could feel so lovely.
Still, I sit like a sunken ship.
Full of treasure yet unopened, disregarded, and desolate.
Lit with only the glimmer of unforeseen potential left drowned in an oasis.

That paradise...
The one I seek.
Will it find me?
Wave me into its warm, sandy arms?
Or will the salty sea awaken a chest of forgotten feelings?

The answer will not find me...
So I drink the ocean once more.
