Tips For Budding Poets, Competition of Line Gauthier

Dear budding poets
To me modern poetry is the expression or the words through which a individual presents the thoughts that come to his mind without regard to sequence or logic,it's the way through which soul through words explain the things hidden in heart

If I were to give an advise
I will suggest to see your surroundings. Nature, the trees, clouds, universe, the existence of God, feel everything and write whatever comes into your heart and mind, before writing observe everything, ask questions , why this particular thing is like this, if something happens to you, simply write, write the words that come into your heart, don't care whether they make sense or not, simply write the thing your heart is telling you to,if you are sad, why are you sad, write all this, if you are in love, what s so strange about love, what are you feeling, how this feeling is different from your everyday life, so write what comes into your heart, some other tips can be don't bound yourself, let your emotions follow, don't bound yourself to 3 dimensions of Earth, let your imaginations take you wherever they want to, fill your poetry with twists, keep your reader curious so that he read the poetry with interest and be careful with spellings, grammer and syllables

Poetry has brought happiness to my life, If I'm sad, I write a poem and writing helps me to control my emotions, it's the way by which I tell my beloved that what they mean to me, things I m shy to say in real life, it has also brought confidence in me and amazement that how my emotions can turn into some really beautiful words

My favorite themes are
death, God, life after death, love, lost love, and the dreams I see

My favorite reference sources are grammerly.com, howmanysyllables.com, and rhymezone.com, poetrysoup

My favorite poems in terms of preferences are
remain with me just a moment more,
and she came to him trying to seduce him
I'm nothing without her
dark and dangerous like a secret,
the reality of world
death where are you,
she walks,
hey you think you can rhyme

My bio
Well I m a 16 year old child from Pakistan, I m currently doing my GCE o levels, I started writing last year at the age of 15, my main interest lies in universe, how it was created, it s nature, signs for extra terrestrial life, how big it is, how human race starts, and how the brain works mainly psychology, in future I ll either become a scientist or a neurosurgeon

wow, you are only 16?? How amazing. You have a great future ahead of you.At 16, I did not even know I was a poet. I just wrote some short stories here and there. Did not really get into poetry till age 45 (when my kids left the nest). I really enjoyed hearing your vision of poetry!
