Tiny Sliding Words

there’s something about
the air you breathe out
weaved into those
tiny sliding words

i have been
a victim
but play the role
of the villain
quite well
they tell me

those tiny sliding words i mentioned before
wooden planks in a sea far from shore
tiny because they mean nothing
when said by anyone but you
sliding into my ears
never before heard
or fully understood
