Tiny Bird

Tiny bird on my sill, tell me why are you so still? Tiny bird why so silent, why no movement, why no peep? Tiny bird on my sill, do you tire watching me sleep? To my shock do you reply, I watch the night, I watch you breath, I watch you live, I watch you sleep, do you tire of counting sheep? Tiny bird please come in, so I may hear the song you sing, do you wish to rest your wings? Revive your voice so I may listen, sing me a song to help me sleep, sing of peace, of hope of chance and tranquility Please lend a song to me To no delay do you reply, you raise my spirits to help me fly, So a song is what I give to you, keep it close and keep it true Sleep sleep, Rest your mind, revive your soul, close your eyes, and bundle tight beneath your shawl, Relax your mind and drift to sleep, count on me instead of sheep, For the sheep they can not fly, they know no dirrectings I do lie, I give you hope for you gave me chance, Now in sleep your mind will dance, forever dream of what you heard, Tiny bird, so sweet and somber, I watch over the day, I await the night for you to slumber.
