Tiny Bird
tiny body
lifeless
among the dirt and grime of the hot pavement
You were meant for great things
and yet it had to end
this way
dissapointing
Those beautiful feathers of yours
blow in the wind, Perfectly welded to catch the wind
Meant for flight
gone so young
and so fast
Digging you deep into the fertile soil
Away from the sun, the one you loved
Your soul has long gone
You will be missed
Little one
You will fly to heaven
Singing that same old angelic song
which
A lullaby that draws me from my fitful rest
Peace of mind
tiny bird
your presence meant so much in this cold ugly world
