Tinsel Teeth

My girlfriend has long, thick silver hair.
Like some Christmas tree tinsel princess.
On occasion, a piece of tinsel weaves its way into my food.
I once suggested she wear a hairnet while cooking.
She said, "This isn't a restaurant, and I'm not a waitress.
Besides, you've had worse things in that mouth,".
She has never spoken truer words.
So now I pull the tinsel from my pie hole
in a dollop of dignified silence.
Leaving no suggestions nor tip.
