Timid Songbird

You caught the bird
That got away from me
So keep it safe
And hold it gently
Since its bones
Are easily broken
And though it might
Flap its wings in fear
at first,
Stroke its feathers
And wait
And you just might
Hear it sing

Very enjoyable poem. I guess we can't all hear it sing.
