"times In a Bottle"

I still think of the times we had in the rain...
Nothing mattered but our times were the blame...
We fought off demons only to create a new one...
Like a ton of bricks that fall with no time to run....
We can go on and say that its the way it has to be...
Just like a note in the bottle that's been cast out to sea...
Tossed and turned it still may wash up on the sand...
But the words may be faded and the meaning not stand...
And so goes another script not complete, we can still
imagine and hold those times deep....

This sure is a sad write Michael but I like what little spark of hope you put in the last 2 lines, wonderfully written-- yup no matter what at least there are memories to hold on to, no matter how brief and fleeting-- nikko :)

Very powerful and compelling message about the way love that once flourished sometimes fades. Beautifully written, Michael. Love, Carolyn

This is a sad and meaningful poem, Michael. I really like the way you describe how the words on the note may fade in the bottle at sea. Best to you, Diane

Enjoyed the expressive and descriptiveness of this wonderful write..Like the comparision to the note in a bottle cast out to sea..Good use of metaphoric language...Sara

wow! I hope some of them times are now good Michael, them demons seem to overpower trust and love. Every message will vanish in due time. With a new chapter and meaning that life will be complete before the end. Enjoyed your poem,..p.d.
