Time's Full Circle
*"Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness"-
a cornucopia of blessings flow.
We thank our Lord, and then we acquiesce
to Old Man Winter’s frost and drifts of snow.
It’s but a spell before the melting time
when tiny buds poke up from fertile ground.
The world rejoices. Sun begins to climb
to bluer skies. We hear the robin’s sound,
but time moves on and newness cannot last.
The sun heats up and lingers in the sky,
but also hours spent beachside move so fast,
and days again have shortened by July!
A spell of dryness; then comes cool of fall.
Time does not go full circle at a crawl!

for Silent One's Famous poetic lines that inspire Poetry Contest
I can't believe it; I still did not get the edit right. It was MISTS plural. Hopefully I am good now!!!
