Time's Endless Deaths
The clocks - tick, hum, blink
knowing they count only coup
on time's passing
No bagpipes mourn
time's endless deaths
her moments laid to rest
Yet time as stoic
mourns them all
as sunrise moves to set
Time is - and was - and so must be
a shadow of its self
