Time's Betrayal

We'll never find the fountain of youth
No matter how much time we spend
We'll just keep getting older
Until we reach our journey's end

Our memories start to fade away
Like the photographs we take
As time takes us prisoner
Without hope for an escape

Our bodies start to fail us
With the plans that we have made
Everyday that we grow older
We can't help but feel betrayed

Time is like a tunnel
That gets smaller on one end
It sets out to destroy us
For time is not our friend

Time is like the Angel of Death
It will never pass us by
It stalks us from the time we're born
Just to watch us die
