Timeless Lyric

I’ve broken my youth
I tried to be myself, until I saw the truth
My pillar of shame
It still shelters me from the red acid rain

I couldn’t let go
I find reality a show
I couldn’t hold on
Hard to want to stay when it’s all so wrong

I’ve buried abuse
I tried to find myself, but I was confused
I climb my pillar of pain
I tried to reach the sky and go through the rain

I wanted to fall
I want to be nothing at all
I wanted to find
Something at the top but somewhere to die

I’ve ascended beyond
I tried to jump away, but skies still held on
I’m held by this timeless song
With a smile of irony, I watch as life balances wrong
