Timeless Lake

The sun, a melting pocket watch, drips oil into the sea,
Where shadow-fish drink fire and speak in reverse poetry.
A stone-white cloud climbs down to sleep within the burning sand,
As shadows hold the lightning, trembling in a hollow hand.
Ice cubes ignite with emerald flames upon the frozen lake,
While noon and midnight trade their eyes, and both remain awake.

I love this.."Where shadow-fish drink fire and speak in reverse poetry." This is what my mentor said ..." writing with simple words yet deep in meaning" And this type of poem is my kind of poetry. Congratulations ^____^ JCB
