Time Waits For No Man
Time Waits For No Man
I looked up and saw that I was settled into my 30’s.
Funny how my adolescent years don’t even seem
that far gone.
Where does the time go?
I look back in amazement of how
much of it has passed.
I have nieces and nephews that have
reached manhood and womanhood.
Me and my siblings are the same
ages as when our parents were raising us.
So much time has gone by,
and it waits for no man.
I’m trying to live in such a way that I don’t
feel like I’m playing catch-up with time,
but man is that state of being hard to maintain!
I feel that if I could keep up with time,
Then I could make the most of it.
That way, maybe I wouldn’t be so
surprised at how much has passed
me by.
