Nice use of imagery and personification. You have a talent for short verse. Thank you for your contribution to "Tidbits." I concluded the poem if you would like to check out the finished piece. Let me know if you see anything that may need correcting. Keep on writing! Karen

This is excellent. I can see the picture clearly. The imagery reminds me of a person hanging on for dear life with outstretched arms. Great job! ~Joseph

A lovely Haiku, Katherine! Reminds me of the outer rim of the Grand Canyon and all it's magnificent splendor. A great haiku visual! Hoping all is well with you! BTW - I went both DOWN and UP the Grand Canyon by mule...my arse was sore for a week! LOL! Peace always, John

Katherine I know of just such a tree - it sits atop feather River Canyon its an Oak and this may sound funny but it's a dear friend of mine - Whenever I'm in that neck of the woods I make it a point to go visit that tree - My dear friend died there I reckon is the reason - Great poem hon - Hope that both you and Jenny are well - God Bless
