Time To Disembark

it is natural that this is
a time for memories
after all these years
aboard the planet
and having almost arrived
the time to disembark
so it's touching to remember
those sublime moments
and those not so much
I didn't want to become a bitter old man
brooding over nitpicking
mumbling if they speak loudly
or if someone is late for dinner
but I'm here brooding a lot of nitpicking
outraged because someone
always arrive late for dinner
I actually didn't know how pleasurable it is
just sit around and complain.

(chuckling) ...one of the perks of age, my friend. I really liked your poem, Marco. We all indulge in a certain amount of nitpicking, and I must say, it can be very satisfying.
