Time Takes Another Day

Make the bed, get ready for work, go to
work, calls to make, errands to run, buy
food, prepare food, eat food and clean
dirty dishes; always something left
undone, but

at the close of day, time takes another
day.

Today begins anew; refreshed and ready
to go; a welcomed start. Things to do,
places to go, choices to make and
consequences to pay; it's the same old
story, but

at the close of day, time takes another
day.

Tomorrow, well tomorrow that's
another story. It will be a day to do
things differently; hope for a new song
sung, a new tune played, time to glean
on previous days spent, and making
better choices; reaping blessed
consequences, but

at the close of day, time takes another
day.
