Time On the Move

I searched for time, on the slide
but it eluded me, ever denied
yesterday, today and tomorrow
 this now is only borrowed.
Hurried, rushed, steps taken quickly in life
measured by their joy, emotional strife
a quick look back with sadness and regret
tomorrow's plans still waiting to be met
holding tight, secure in this now
it truly is, the only hold we have somehow.
Hang on, the ride goes with the ebb and flow
today's moment is all we ever know.

Superb discourse on the essence of time, i.e., the NOW! Season's best, Gershon
