Time of Us

You said my eyes tell my story 
That they lead right to my heart
You believed we had a purpose
The time of us came from the stars
 
My how we would laugh for hours
All those stories you could tell
You wanted to know all about me
And never forgot one detail
 
The day your life ended
My whole world was torn apart
You were forced on a new journey
Leaving me with a broken heart
 
Did you know how much I love you
Did you know how much I care
Did you know you are always in my heart
The time of us so special and rare
 
I pray your spirit has found peace
I feel you are watching from above
I look for signs that you are with me
I am blessed to have known your love

Michael Tor December 3, 2015 at 1:37 AM Susan this was heartfelt and touching. I lost my best friend on my birthday in an auto accident. I wish I could go back in time. I still have his voice recording on my phone. If he would have come to my wedding he would have avoided the tragedy. The call was him telling me he could not make the wedding and he was terribly sorry. I had moved and lived six hours away. He bought a new exotic sports car and was racing at 200 miles an hour and the vehicle hydroplaned and he crashed. Susan Gentry December 5, 2015 at 12:25 AM I'm so sorry for your loss.
