Time Never Moves

As time appears to pass
and more memories are chased
in the timeless tomorrows
will yesterday's reflecting mirror
    be so important
watering the blooms of my soul
filled with the scent of my days
    of peaceful plunder
stored in the fragrant years of life
When I traveled the minutes of every breath
consumed in the universe of my circumstances
and the choices chosen from the decisions decided
    whether by emotions or ponderings
When time was a stillness shared and understood
through the chaos of life, giving it substance
that opens the door to the mind
When I began to comprehend
the distance between birth and death
is a continuous motion through the stillness of time
Arriving at a quiet place of eternal darkness
    like the millions upon millions
who have felt time pass by
never understanding the one thing
    Time never moves
It only swallows everything that has ever existed

Hello Frederic, I always love poems about time and your excellent meditation on the illusion of time passing, is really our human experience of change, while time itself remains unmoving, eternal, and ultimately consuming. Autumn Blessings, Frederic, Daniel
