Time Marches On

Time Marches Forward

Our relationship is done
we can no longer continue.
The hands of time have
stopped for us.

It is too late to turn
back the clock.
For a while we had
great fun.
But the ticking clock
marked the denouement
of our time together.

The romantic part of my brain was looking for a way, not to go back ... because time moves in one direction, but to regain the love which was lost somehow. Idk.
