Time Lost
Time lost,
Can't buy it back,
At any cost...
Idle hours in dreamy dreams
Remake the world
By any means
I somehow got lost,
I sit by the side of the road,
Don't know which way to go,
Seems I was never told,
What it's like,
To be alone and old
And now there's no one to ask,
What should be, my final task?
Mend fences?,
Explore new worlds?
Or curl up and die,
Spend my last days,
In one last, long cry?
I know I will die alone,
No one nearby,
A silent phone...
I accept this fate,
I knew this before
I was born,
How life would be,
And how I'd be worn
My first smile,
And my last,
Will be the shadow
I have cast
I had my days
Of glory and love
Now it's time
To face the Lord above.
