Time For Us
Tell me silly things that make me smile
Caress your fingers across my brow
Lie next to me and snuggle awhile
Time for us just now
Why do we have to be adults
Responsible for way to much
Bills won't pay themselves
Shelter and comfort we can't do without
Who made the rules we live by
Who decides the value of all we try
Only if raindrops were wishes we made
Problems and gloom just wash away
Playing footsie and giggles too
Under the covers peek-a-boo
Did I ever tell you I love you true
Nothing means more than being with you
Monday screams so up we rise
Getting dress we realize
We work hard so there will be
Time for us just you with me.
